Lahore: Election Commission (EC) has taken notice of the media reports about presence of ministers in National Assembly constituency NA-185 D.G. Khan.

As per media reports Provincial election commissioner has sought immediate report from district monitoring officer in this regard.

According to spokesperson notice have been issued to special assistant to Prime Minister (PM) Huzaifa Rehman and federal minister Owais Leghari on violation of code of conduct and they have been directed to present explanation on November 21.

Election commission has made it clear code of conduct is being implemented strictly in the constituency.

According to district returning officer close monitoring of election activities is being made in the constituency through different sources and no advisor or minister will be allowed to participate in election campaign.

Provincial election commissioner Punjab said immediate action will be initiated on violation of code of conduct. Fair, impartial and transparent election will be ensured at every cost.
