Rawalpindi:The father and son injured in the controversial firing incident involving the Crime Control Department (CCD) in Chakwal are recovering after undergoing surgery at Benazir Bhutto Hospital.Hospital sources said that both injured persons, identified as Adil Ahmed and his son Afnan Ahmed, remain under treatment and continuous medical observation.According to hospital officials, bullets lodged in the leg of 12-year-old Afnan Ahmed were successfully removed during surgery. Adil Ahmed, father of the deceased girl Hania, had sustained two bullet injuries, which were also removed through an operation.Sources confirmed that both father and son are now out of danger and their condition is stable.Meanwhile, sources said that representatives of the Australian High Commission had also established contact with the affected family.The incident occurred in Chakwal where nine-year-old Hania, a member of an Australia-returned family, was killed, while her father Adil Ahmed and brother Afnan Ahmed were serio usly injured in firing allegedly linked to negligence during a CCD operation.
