Rawalpindi:A father and son were shot dead in an apparent target killing incident in the Chakri area of Rawalpindi on Sunday. According to police, unidentified assailants riding a motorcycle opened fire on a vehicle carrying the victims and fled the scene after the attack.

The deceased were identified as Shehzada Shah and his son Mustafa Shah.

Police said the victims were returning home in their vehicle when attackers approaching from behind targeted them with gunfire.

The bodies were shifted to a nearby hospital for medico-legal formalities.

Police and forensic teams reached the scene and collected evidence. An investigation has been launched to trace and arrest the suspects.
