Islamabad: Federal Constitutional Court (FCC) while adjourning hearing of case related to registration of 41 life saving medicines for indefinite period has sought report from Drugs Regularity Authority of Pakistan (DRAP) on availability of medicines.

The learned bench heard the case under the Chief Justice (CJ) of FCC Aminuddin Khan Monday.

The petitioner told the court 30 out of 41 life saving medicines have been registered. On previous hearing the DRAP was directed to provide information about availability of medicines on website. But the information are not available so far.

CJ FCC , Amin ud Din Khan while calling Additional Attorney General (AAG) said the petitioner has come in the public interest. Government should review the supply of medicines.

The court while calling report from DRAP regarding availability of medicines adjourned the hearing for indefinite period.
