Federal Minister Ahsan Iqbal Chairs Key Meeting on UET Development Projects

Lahore: A key meeting was held under the chairmanship of Federal Minister for Planning and Development, Professor Ahsan Iqbal, focusing on development initiatives at the University of Engineering and Technology (UET).

Vice Chancellor UET, Professor Dr. Shahid Munir, briefed the Minister on major projects including the establishment of an Innovation Center and Innovation Park, the launch of the National Center for Quantum Computing, construction of modern hostels, and provision of advanced equipment to five major UET campuses across Pakistan. He also highlighted proposed projects, such as a new academic block at UET New Campus Kala Shah Kaku and faculty residences at Narowal Campus.

Federal Minister Ahsan Iqbal appreciated UET's development and research initiatives, assuring full government support for higher education, advanced technology, and research. He emphasized that these projects would significantly contribute to strengthening Pakistan's economy, industry, and human resource development.

The meeting was attended by Campus Coordinator Narowal Campus Dr. Shehbaz, Director PandD, Registrar Muhammad Asif, faculty members, and other administrative officers.
