Govt ready to take legal action against IK

Islamabad: The government has decided to take legal action against the top leadership of Paksitan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).

According to sources, an important meeting was held in Islamabad under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

The issue of Imran Khan making baseless allegations against the establishment was discussed in the meeting.

Tehreek-e-Insaf’s offensive campaign against senior military leadership and officers was condemned.

The meeting affirmed that Imran Khan responsible for spreading anarchy in the country.

It has been decided in the meeting that legal action will be taken against the top leadership of Tehreek-e-Insaf.

Sources have claimed that Imran Khan and some of his colleagues can be arrested in the light of the evidence and legal opinion.

The important decision was made after the allegations by PTI leadership against the top military officials of Pak Army without any solid evidence.

The Interior Ministry has issued an order to the FIA to take action against PTI on baseless allegations.

Ministry of Law and Ministry of Defense presented the final opinion to the Prime Minister.

On the other hand, the People’s Party also demanded action against Imran Khan for insulting the national security institutions and the forces of Pakistan.

PPP Secretary General Nayyar Bukhari rejected Imran Khan’s baseless and fabricated allegations against the Pakistan Army and said that Imran Khan’s statements are a campaign to appease India.
