Hearing of 33 appeals in Ardal Room to maintain discipline in Lahore Police

Lahore: DIG Operations Faisal Kamran conducted the weekly Ardal Room proceedings at Police Lines Qila Gujjar Singh, hearing 33 appeals. During the hearing, orders were issued on appeals related to dismissals from service, reduction of severe punishments, and other disciplinary cases. Punishments imposed for breaches of discipline were also upheld where justified. The DIG Operations ordered reinvestigation of 13 cases, stating that the police department has an effective system of self-accountability. He made it clear that negligence in the performance of duties will not be tolerated and that the zero- tolerance policy against corruption is being implemented strictly. He emphasized that those involved in corruption and misuse of authority will face strict accountability, while officers and personnel who fulfill their duties responsibly will be fully encouraged and supported. Police personnel also presented welfare-related issues during the Ardal Room, for which relevant officers were directed to take immediate action. According to Faisal Kamran, the purpose of the Ardal Room is to ensure that the strict process of self- accountability within the police department remains intact.
