How much bullet is wise it does not hit police vehicle, it hits only its target: CJ LHC

Lahore: Lahore High Court (LHC) has summoned IG Police Punjab tomorrow on the petition regarding death of a person in alleged police encounter.

Chief Justice (CJ) Lahore High Court Aalia Neelum Tuesday heard the petition filed by Farhat Bibi.

The petitioner Farhat Bibi had resorted to LHC for protection of life of her son Ansar Aslam.

The counsel Aftab Rahim took the plea in the court during the hearing of the case police killed one Ghazanfar Aslam on April 22 in fake police encounter while second son is imprisoned in Sheikhupura jail. Similar situation is stated in FIR regarding police encounters. Court should administer justice according to it.

CJ LHC Aalia Neelum said the killings of the alleged accused persons in the presence of police are alarming. The pace of filing petitions in regard to killings in police encounters is accelerating.

She observed how much the bullet is wise that it does not hit police vehicle and it hits only its target.

The CJ inquired from SHO Sharaqpur what is his stance in this matter.

SHO replied The accomplices of the accused attacked police and he was killed resultantly.

The CJ LHC asked further was any policeman injured. Are there any marks on police vehicle.

The court while expressing grave concern over the killings of the accused in police custody summoned IG Punjab tomorrow.
