IBA announces to boycott courts proceedings for not providing opportunity to Imaan Mazari, Hadi Ali Chatha to present their defence

Islamabad: Islamabad Bar Association (IBA) has announced to boycott court’s proceedings for not providing opportunity to Imaan Mazari and Hadi Ali Chatha to present their defence in controversial tweet case.

It has been said in the press release that lawyers will boycott court’s proceedings today. IBA will go on strike on illegal and unconstitutional act.

Bar has said IBA stands shoulder to shoulder with its revered members. Denying opportunity to the accused to present their defence is negation of claims for provision of justice effectively.

The Bar strongly condemned this unjust attitude of court with the accused saying this has created grave concern among all legal fraternity including members of Islamabad Bar.

Bar said it is their demand Imaan Mazari and Hadi Ali Chatha be provided opportunity to express their stance.
