Islamabad: The President of Pakistan, under Article 228 of the Constitution and on the recommendation of the Prime Minister, has appointed Allama Dr. Muhammad Raghib Hussain Naeemi as the Chairman of the Islamic Ideology Council for a term of three years.

The Ministry of Law and Justice has issued an official notification regarding the appointment. Dr. Naeemi had previously served as a member of the council. The position of chairman had fallen vacant on November 1, 2025, after the previous chairman and eight council members retired upon completion of their tenure.
