IHC moved for shifting PTI leader Shireen Mazari to PIMS

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad High Court (IHC) has been moved for shifting PTI leader Shireen Mazari to PIMS due to her ailment.

Imaan Mazari advocate daughter of Shireen Mazari filed the petition on behalf of her mother requesting the court to fix the case for early hearing.

The petitioner has taken the plea that her mother Dr Shireen Mazari was lifted from her residence in Islamabad on May 12 night at the time between 2.30 am and 3 a.m.

The petitioner said in her petition that she was allowed to meet her mother only once under the orders of court in Central Jail Rawalpindi (Adiala jail). My mother is 72 years old and is suffering from blood pressure and arthritis. My mother has been imprisoned in jail in adverse situation. She is being mentally tortured.

My mother blood pressure was very high when her medical check up was conducted, she added. My mother was in extraordinary trouble due to inflammation in her leg. My mother was suffering from food poisoning as well due to unhygienic and sub standard food in jail. My mother has been kept in a filthy "C" class cell. Better medical facility is not available to my mother in jail. Her fast deteriorating health condition is source of grave concern for all family members.

She requested the court to order for immediate medical check up of Shireen Mazari besides allowing her to be shifted to hospital.
