ISLAMABAD: Islamabad High Court (IHC) has wrapped up Rafaqat Tanoli recovery case with directives.Chief Justice (CJ) IHC Aamir Farooq has remarked we are sitting here for the people We are sitting for people. If nothing has been done since two years then you have to restore the confidence of people. Are they terrorists that they were engaged,. Be careful in your words.What was the reason that they were protesting. Challan has not been filed since the last two years. It reveals system has failed to how much extent.He gave these remarks on Friday during the hearing of petition filed against arrest of Rafaqat Tanoli father of Shakil Tanoli who died after being hit by vehicle in 2022.The counsel for petitioner said police is not recording statement of Rafaqat Tanoli.SHO said Rafaqat Tanoli has not come to us for recording statement .The CJ IHC remarked no one comes on road willingly. There will be some reason that people have come on roads in such enormous heat. Be it court or government. If they have done something wrong. then law is equal for all. Had police recorded statement the situation would not have reached this stage.
