Islamabad: National Assembly (NA) standing committee on interior was told drug dealers from different provinces were in contact with drug dealer Anmol alias Pinky and important personalities are included among those who purchased drugs from her.
The committee was told Anmol alias Pinky had given no statement against Raja Pervaiz Ashraf.
The committee has recommended for launching action against the killing in the name of honor and drug smugglers.
Committee met under its chairman Raja Khurram Nawaz here Wednesday in parliament house.
The meeting was attended by members of committee, minister for parliamentary affairs Dr Tariq Fazal Chaudhry, former Prime Minister (PM) Raja Pervaiz Ashraf and authorities from interior and parliamentary affairs.
Karachi police chief Azad Khan while giving briefing to committee in details said Anmol Pinky is involved in drug supply since 18 years, She is resident of Karachi. She is married to a drug smuggler in Lahore. She was working with international drug smuggler like Rana Nasir.
Police have obtained important evidence from her mobile phone. They include numbers of 860 foreigners including drug dealers.
According to him Anmol used to supply drug through Online network. Delivery of drugs was made through bike riders. Her net work was functional in Karachi in 2018.
He told Anmol is involved in murder case as well. The respective SHO and investigation officers were suspended at the time of her arrest.
The money obtained from the sale of drugs was transferred to bank accounts of brothers of Anmol Pinky in Lahore.
Karachi police chief made it clear that no evidence against Raja Pervaiz Ashraf was found from mobile of Anmol Pinky.
Raja Pervaiz Ashraf former PM and PPP leader while speaking in committee said lawyer of Anmol Pinky mentioned his name in the court and then he received many calls.
Raja Pervez Ashraf said PPP government is in place in Sindh. Why this will be done therein.
He thanked committee chairman that timely notice was taken in regard to these allegations.
Raja Pervaiz Asharf urged the institutions to remain in their ambit.
