Islamabad: Federal Constitutional Court (FCC) has adjourned after summer vacations hearing of constitutional petition filed in connection with alleged Rehai Force (RF) of PTI Founder Imran Khan. A 3-member bench of FCC presided over by Chief Justice FCC Amin ud Din Khan took up the case for hearing Tuesday.
During the hearing of the case Ali Bokhari counsel for PTI leaders sought time for filing power of attorney and reply by KP Chief Minister (CM) Sohail Afridi and others. He told the court he is counsel for PTI Secretary General Suleman Akram Raja too along with Sohail Afridi in this case.
Ali Bokhari said he was told in the morning today that he has to represent Suleman Akram Raja too. Therefore, more time be given to file reply.
Advocate General (AG) KP took the plea this is case of political nature. Therefore proper time should be given to party secretary general to file reply.
He said that apprehension has been expressed in the constitutional petition KP CM is setting up a private militia. The counsel for the petitioner told the court only one respondent has filed reply so far. He requested the court’s previous order on not creating law and order situation be extended.
CJ Amin ud Din Khan remarked there is no need to do so because court’s order was not limited till to date . Therefore, there is no need to extend it.
Later the court while giving time to the respondents for filing reply adjourned further hearing of the case after summer vacations.
