Imran petition for running only one case of May 9 shifted to 2 members bench of LHC

Lahore: Lahore High Court (LHC) has sent the petition filed by PTI founder for running only one case of May 9 against him to two members bench for further hearing.

Chief Justice (CJ) of LHC Aalia Neelum took up the petition for hearing Tuesday.

Latif Khosa counsel for PTI founder appeared in the court.

The court expressed resentment over lawyers standing in large number on rostrum.

The CJ LHC remarked is this petition so heavy that so many lawyers came on rostrum.

The court directed all the lawyers except Latif Khosa to leave the rostrum.

The CJ LHC inquired from Latif Khosa it seems as if you don't want to understand the court's directive. Why the lawyers have stood with you.

CJ LHC remarked the petition is being sent for further hearing to two members bench hearing ATC cases.

A two members bench under justice Shahbaz Rizvi will conduct hearing of the case further on December 4.

Earlier the counsel for the petitioner had taken plea that several May 9 cases are registered against Imran Khan. Several FIRs cannot be registered in respect of case of one nature. Therefore, court should order for running only one case of May 9.
