Islamabad: Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Wednesday chaired a meeting of the Committee for Monitoring and Implementation of Conservation and Additional Austerity Measures.

Ishaq Dar reviewed the current status of different austerity measures as announced by the Government earlier. He stressed that since international fuel prices are still very high therefore, it's a national duty of everyone including the Government that the conservations/austerity measures may be followed in true letter and spirit. For tasks of very important and urgent nature which are hit by these measures the cases may be brought for consideration of the Cabinet Committee for Monitoring and Implementation of Conservation and Additional Austerity Measures so that essential functions of Government are not compromised.

The meeting was attended by the Ministers for Petroleum, Information Technology and Telecom, Climate Change, Minister of State for Finance, Secretaries Cabinet, Establishment, Commerce, Petroleum, Culture and Heritage and other relevant stakeholders.
