Karachi:The Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) distributed new Eid clothes among 10,000 children in Karachi.A large-scale Eid gift distribution ceremony was held at Eid Gah Ground, Nazimabad, marking the 12th consecutive year of providing Eid gifts and clothing to underprivileged boys and girls.A significant number of parents also attended the event. Bangles were distributed to girls, while multiple stalls were set up at the ground. Due to prior registration of children across different age groups, the event was conducted in a highly organized manner.Speaking to the media on the occasion, JI Karachi Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami Karachi, Monem Zafar criticized the government, stating that it is the fundamental responsibility of the state to provide citizens with basic necessities such as education, healthcare, and justice. However, he said that those in power have held the public hostage.He added that rulers have pushed people into poverty, inflation, and unemployment, while continuously increasing fuel prices. He furth er said that citizens are deprived of basic facilities including electricity, water, healthcare, and transportation, and that many poor parents are unable to provide Eid happiness to their children.He questioned why the government fails to fulfill its responsibilities when Jamaat-e-Islami and Alkhidmat are able to bring joy to children during Eid. He urged the public to rise against injustice and struggle for their rights against feudal lords, landlords, and the ruling elite.The ceremony was also attended by District Central Ameer Syed Wajih Hassan, Town Chairman Nazimabad Syed Muhammad Muzaffar, District Secretary Sohail Zaidi, and other officials.
