JI Emir urges immediate relief efforts amid Punjab floods

Lahore: Expressing deep concern over the devastation caused by floods in various parts of Punjab, Jamaat-e-Islami Emir Hafiz Naeemur Rehman has directed Jamaat-e-Islami and Alkhidmat workers and volunteers to accelerate relief efforts and extend maximum support to affected communities.

Hafiz Naeemur Rehman contacted central, provincial, and other officials of Jamaat-e-Islami and Alkhidmat to gather information and issue instructions regarding ongoing relief operations.

He emphasized that Pakistan is among the countries most affected by climate change, noting that after severe destruction in the northern regions, Punjab is now facing the brunt of flooding.

Addressing the current situation, he urged workers of all political parties to set aside differences and unite to serve flood victims. He highlighted that Al-Khidmat Foundation provides an effective platform for coordinated volunteer efforts to help communities in distress.

Rehman further stated that large-scale rescue and rehabilitation operations are underway, with JI and Al-Khidmat volunteers actively engaged across the country. He called on everyone to step forward and contribute to these humanitarian efforts.
