Lahore: As per an official handout from DIG Operations Lahore,: Lahore Police remains committed to making the city drug-free, continuing operations against drug dealers and other criminals. According to details, Shahdara Town Police thwarted a drug supply operation and arrested two drug dealers, identified as Sufyan and Tauqeer. The suspects were found in possession of 60 kg and 760 grams of narcotics. They used motorcycles and rickshaws for drug supply, and the police also seized their rickshaw. The suspects were involved in drug distribution across various upscale areas of the city. Similarly, Manga Mandi Police, acting on intelligence, arrested a female drug dealer, FakhraBibi, who had a criminal record. The police recovered 1,420 grams of hashish from her possession. She had been imprisoned multiple times for drug trafficking. Meanwhile, Manawan Police, during a search operation, arrested three drug dealers, identified as Bilawal, Asif, and Allah Ditta.
They were found with 2 kg and 500 grams of hashish and 420 grams of ice (crystal meth). In another case, Naseerabad Police arrested a three-member active robbery gang that operated near Children's Hospital and surrounding areas. The suspects, Faisal, Adnan, and Ramzan, were arrested near Model Town Courts railway tracks. The police recovered firearms and two stolen motorcycles from their possession. Kahna Police conducted extensive operations over the past 72 hours, resulting in the arrest of 14 suspects, including 7 drug dealers, 2 wanted criminals, and 5 other suspects. The drug dealers, identified as Mehtab, Sahil, Kashif Khan, Salman, Adeel, Kashan, and Waqas, were found in possession of 8 kg and 200 grams of hashish and 250 grams of ice.
The wanted criminals, Riaz and Khalil, were involved in multiple cases, including illegal arms possession and fraud. Additionally, five other suspects, identified as Rafiullah, Sadaqat, Shakeel, Rashid, and Ali, were arrested for firing gunshots in public and selling fireworks. Mozang Police, in an intelligence-based operation, raided an illegal kite-manufacturing factory. The suspect, Shafiq, was supplying kites across different parts of the city via online orders. Police seized 400 ready-made kites, chemical-laced string, paper, powdered glass, spools, and a large amount of raw materials. Chowki Sue Asal Police arrested two individuals, Arsalan and Jabir, for firing gunshots during a wedding ceremony in Gulwera village. The police recovered two 30-bore pistols from them. Meanwhile, Chowki Mayo Hospital Police arrested a TikTok fugitive criminal, Asif Hayat, who was wanted in Thana Data Darbar for making threatening and violent videos. The suspect had previously harassed a father and son, assaulted them in p ublic, and recorded videos for social media.
Dolphin Squad, during an operation in Islampura, arrested two suspicious individuals, Shafqat and Sher Muhammad, and recovered a modern automatic rifle, pistol, 13 magazines, and dozens of bullets. Additionally, Dolphin Squad in Sundar arrested a fraudster, Aslam, who was wanted by police in five different cities. He was arrested in Bahria Town using the E-Police Post app. He was involved in multiple fraud cases in police stations including Bani, Race Course (Rawalpindi), Factory Area (Sheikhupura), Shehzad Town (Islamabad), and two police stations in Lahore. The suspect issued bogus checks and scammed numerous citizens. In another case, ChowkiNadirabad Police quickly located a missing child within a few hours. Five-year-old Shahzeb went missing from a wedding hall in Hair. His father had filed a kidnapping case, and police used electronic and social media, announcements, and wireless calls to track him down. Similarly, Chowki Raja Market Police continued its tradition of reuniting lost individuals with their families by locating a missing 17-year-old girl, Wajiha, and safely handing her over to her parents. She was found near Badr Mosque in Garden Town. The parents had filed a kidnapping report, and police immediately formed a team to search for her. The girl had arrived in Garden Town for work but lost her way.
