LHC:strict conditions imposed on rickshaw manufacturers, dealers for prevention of pollution

Lahore: Lahore High Court (LHC) in its decision issued by Justice Shahid Karim has imposed strict conditions on Rickshaw manufactures and dealers making it incumbent on them not to sell rickshaw without fitness certificate.

According to decision transport department held talks with rickshaw manufacturers in the light of court's directives wherein the rickshaw manufacturers were directed not to hand over any rickshaw to purchaser without fitness certificate and license.

The court further ordered extension in licenses be not given after June 20215 to manufacturers who don't implement the conditions.

Mention has been made about report of LDA regarding MAO college grounds. According to it the grounds have been restored and handed over to college administration.

The court directed transport department to present detailed report on May 25.
