Liaqat Baloch terms mini-budget a shackle of economic slavery: Liaqat Baloch

FAISALABAD: “The mini-budget imposed on the nation subject to IMF orders is a shackle of economic slavery”? said the Deputy Chief of Jamaat-e-Islami, former parliamentary leader Liaqat Baloch while addressing the Ittehad-e-Ummat Ulemao-Mashaykh Conference in Faisalabad.

He further said that the amendment to the Finance Bill, which has been mortgaged to the national economy and given indirect control to India by abolishing the independence of the SBP, is reprehensible. For the prevention of economic slavery, not only the parliament but also the people have to come to the streets and intersections, otherwise the coming generations will be victims of slavery, ruin and disgrace.

He said that Prime Minister Imran Khan is not listening to the voice of national leadership, economists and oppressed people due to his stubbornness, ego and bigotry. Inflation, unemployment, production costs and inflation will rise, the purchasing power of the people will be lost. External crutches are disastrous in the forms of spreading interest, loans, etc. Self-respect, self-reliance, the economic system of Islam is the only way out of the economic crisis.

Liaqat Baloch, Secretary General of Milli Yakjehti Council, also said on the occasion that only a system based on Qur’an and Sunnah can bring justice; not on the basis of language, race, colour, profession and sex, not on the basis of lineage. Piety is the standard of human dignity. If scholars, teachers, madrassas continue to create mutual distances in promoting their own issues, then sectarianism will destroy the civilization, morals and human values of the new generation. To maintain the great victory in Afghanistan and to protect the faith of Kashmiris and Palestinians, the determination of freedom is demanding unity of the Ummah. The United States, NATO forces want to hide their shameful defeat in the chaos of the Muslim Ummah.

He said that Islamic teachings should be promoted among the people. Islam wants a complete end to the curse of feudalism and exploitative capitalism. Islam wants the rule of Allah, not of human beings over human beings, through economy and parliament. The parliaments of Muslim countries are bound to legislate according to the Qur’an and Sunnah.

Baloch said that Prime Minister Imran Khan’s government is handing over the country to secularism, liberalism and moral indecency under the guise of giving the system of the state of Madinah. Ulemas and Mashaikhs will not allow Pakistan to become a secular state at any cost.
