Srinagar: Literary work of iconic Kashmiri leader Syed Ali Gilani is proving to be inspiring for freedom fighters around the world. His life of struggle for the rights and aspirations of Kashmiris serves as a powerful example, ensuring his memory and ideals remain a source of motivation for freedom fighters.

Geelani's unwavering stance on Kashmir's freedom, even amidst immense adversity, earned him respect and inspired many. His dedication to Kashmir's cause and the suffering he endured are remembered by generations of Kashmiris, making him a symbolic figure of their freedom struggle.

Kashmiris on both sides of the Line of Control (LoC) and across the globe will observe his fourth martyrdom anniversary tomorrow, September 01, with renewed resolve to carry forward his mission of freedom.

Syed Ali Gilani died in Indian captivity on 1st September in 2021 at his residence in Srinagar where he had been kept under continued house arrest for over a decade.
