March 22 fixed for indictment of Shahbaz Gill in case pertaining to inciting people against institutions

ISLAMABAD: District court has fixed new date of March 22 to indict PTI leader Shahbaz Gill in the case of inciting the people against the institutions.

The case came up for hearing before district court led by Additional Sessions Judge Tahir Abbas Sipra Saturday.

The accused Shahbaz Gill and Ammad Yousuf appeared in the court.

Special prosecutor Raizwan Abbasi said in the court the accused have to be indicted today.

Shahbaz Gill said an application of this nature was registered in Karachi.

The investigation officer of case registered in Karachi told him some one has asked him to register case and nominate us therein, he added. My counsel has met accident and he would not be able to appear.

Gill said : I want to make some submissions before the court in person. My co-accused Arshid Sharif was forced to leave the country. When Arshid Sharif left the country then bid was made to trace him. Arshid Sharif was murdered when he reached Kenya. Investigation team was constituted to investigate into the murder of Arshid Sharif. The investigation team called plaintiff of this case to record his statement. These cases were the cause behind leaving the country by Arshid Sharif.

Supreme Court constituted special JIT to investigate the murder of Arshid Sharif. Special JIT filed its reply in supreme court.

The court rejected Shahbaz Gill and Ammad Yousuf petitions and adjourned the proceeding of indictment of Shahbaz Gill till March 22.
