Rawalpindi: Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Rawalpindi Taimur Khan has said that to develop traffic related systems in Punjab on modern lines, the condition of district and province for obtaining national driving license has been removed, under which any citizen of Pakistan can get a learner, license or license renewal for driving from any place.
City Traffic Police is trying to serve the people 24/7. Media and Police can play a vital role for the eradication of social evils and reform of society.
A separate counter will be established at Traffic Headquarters to provide services to journalists and their families.
For providing driving license to journalists and their families, the facility of e-test and driving test will also be provided in the press club.
He expressed these views while talking to the media on the occasion of his visit to a camp set up for learning, issuing driving licenses and renewing licenses for journalists and their families under the Police Mobile Service Center at the Rawalpindi Press Club on Saturday.
On this occasion, in-charge Rawalpindi Press Club Shakila Jalil and member governing body Babar Malik, in-charge Licensing Branch Inspector Adnan Mehr, his team Safwan Zahoor, Muhammad Saqib and City Traffic Police Spokesperson Kashif Sarosh were also present.
