More Kashmiris’ properties seized in Poonch, Pulwama under draconian laws

Srinagar: In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, authorities have once again intensified their campaign of confiscating properties of local residents in different parts of the territory under black laws.

According to media reports, Indian police in Poonch district attached seven marlas of land belonging to Mohammad Azam, a resident of Chapriyan in Mandi tehsil, branding him a 'proclaimed offender.' The attachment was carried out under Section 88 of the Criminal Procedure Code.

Earlier, police sealed a two-storey house belonging to Gulzar Ahmad Dar at Kharbat Pora in Ratnipora area of Pulwama district under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA). Officials announced that the property cannot be sold, rented or transferred, warning of strict action against violators.
