Rawalpindi: Notification regarding trial of Imran Khan on video link in GHQ attack case has been challenged in Lahore High Court (LHC) Rawalpindi bench.
Suleman Akram Raja and Faisal Mehmood advocates challenged the notification.
Diary number was marked on constitutional petition. The hearing is likely to start from September 25, Thursday.
Plea was taken in the petition that constitution of Pakistan gives legal right of fair trial under article 10-A.
It was requested video trial of home department in GHQ attack case be declared null and void. Stay order be issued till petition is decided. Order be issued for presenting Imran Khan from Adiala jail to court.
According to the petitioner court is hearing the case on whats app call instead of video link. Legal consultation of lawyers with the accused is must during hearing for sake of fair trial.
