Islamabad: The national security advisors of both Pakistan and India have initiated communication following Indian aggression.
According to authorities national security advisor to the Prime Minister and Director General of Inter-Service Intelligence (ISI), Lt Gen Asim Malik spoke with his Indian counterpart, Ajit Doval, amid the escalation of tensions between the two countries after India's May 7 raid.
Deputy Prime Minister (DPM) Ishaq Dar while talking to media said that contact has been made by national security advisors of both the countries in this regard.
He did not give more details with reference to it.
One Pakistani officer said that such contacts are must in the prevailing situation.
It is being speculated the two security advisors made contact due to back door diplomatic efforts from international and regional leaders.
According to Indian media Ajit Doval contacted national security advisors of US, UK, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Japan, Russia, China and France and informed them about Indian government moves.
He emphasized that these actions were appropriate, and cautious which aimed at exterminating the terrorism infrastructure affiliated with groups like Lashkar-e-Tayyaba and Jaish-e-Muhammad.
National Security Committee said Pakistan will respond to Indian missile attacks at the venue, time and procedure of its choice.
In the backdrop of Prime Minister (PM) speech in National Assembly it seems Pakistan may not likely to respond further. In the first hour of retaliatory action Pakistan shot down 5 Indian fighter planes which included ultra modern Rafale jet of 4.5 generation. These were bought by India from France in haste to fortify its defence following abortive operation in Balakot.
Some experts are of opinion that ongoing war between two countries in fact is test of Chinese and western technology.
A senior officer of France intelligence told CNN that Pakistan has shot down one Rafale fighter plane belonging to Indian Air Force .
