Islamabad: Pakistan has strongly condemned any attempts to undermine the sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity of the Federal Republic of Somalia, rejecting the announcement made by Israel recognising the independence of the so-called Somaliland region.
In a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Pakistan said such illegal and provocative actions constitute a flagrant violation of international law and pose a serious threat to peace and stability not only in Somalia but across the wider region. The spokesperson emphasized that the international community must reject such moves and take steps to prevent and deter Israel from undermining ongoing efforts for peace and stability.
Pakistan reaffirmed its complete support for the sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity of Somalia and reiterated its backing for all efforts aimed at achieving lasting peace and stability in the country.
The statement also reiterated Pakistan's unequivocal rejection of any steps aimed at the forced displacement of Palestinians from their land under any circumstances. Pakistan reaffirmed its unwavering support for the Palestinian people in their just struggle for self-determination and for the establishment of a sovereign, independent Palestinian state based on pre-1967 borders, with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital.
