Pakistan will make progress if investors & labourers work in unison under a judicious system: PM Shehbaz

LAHORE: Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has said the government fully acknowledges the hard work of the labourers and is determined to ensure their welfare and prosperity. PM Shehbaz Sharif said that corruption is being eradicated from the country, adding that Pakistan will soon gain its real position in the committee of nations. He said that economic circumstances of the country are challenging, adding that he held satisfactory meetings with the Saudi ministers, adding that in next few days the Saudi businessmen will visit Pakistan. PM Shehbaz Sharif said this while addressing a luncheon, he hosted in honour of labourers on the International Labour Day at his personal residence in Lahore on Wednesday. The Prime Minister also urged businessmen and investors to take care of the development and welfare of their workers as Pakistan cannot make progress without the prosperity of labourers. He emphasized that Pakistan will make progress if investors and labourers work in unison under a judicious sys tem. He called for creating opportunities to the children of the working class, where they too can become doctors, engineers and excel in politics as well. PM Shehbaz Sharif said the government enhanced salaries of the government employees last year, despite financial constraints. He said efforts will also be made to enhance salaries in the upcoming budget.
