Peaceful protest our right, says PTI’s Faraz

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) senior leader Shibli Faraz on Wednesday said peaceful protest was his party’s basic right, adding that his party’s motive was not to ‘occupy Islamabad’.

In a statement on Wednesday, the former federal minister said his party’s government had not barred anyone from staging protests and long marches. He said the PDM government did not have any public mandate and hence it was standing on ‘weak bases’.

His statement comes a day after the PTI Chairman and former Prime Minister Imran Khan announced his much anticipated long march from Lahore’s Liberty chowk to the federal capital.
