Peshawar: Peshawar High Court (PHC) has sought reply from federal government, PTA, FIA and Social Media Regulatory Authority (SMRA) on the petition against obscene and vulgar talk on tik tok.The petition against obscene and vulgar talk on tik tok came up for hearing in PHC Wednesday.Justice Naeem Anwar and Justice Kamran Hayat Miankhel took up the petition for hearing.The court sought reply from federal government, PTA, FIA and Social Media Regulatory Authority (SMRA).Noman Mohib Kakakhel counsel for the petitioner said obscene and vulgar material is being uploaded on tik tok. People use obscene and vulgar language and make immoral gestures on tik tok live daily. People are earning income due to immoral gestures and obscene talk on tik tak. Obscene talk and immoral gestures are leaving negative effects on society.Counsel for the petitioner took the plea SMRA was introduced after amendment in PECA act. SMRA is not functional still. The respondents have failed in preventing uploading of immoral materi al.The court remarked we seek reply from the respondents in this matter. Case will be heard on receipt of their reply.The court while summoning reply from federal government and concerned respondents adjourned the hearing of the case.
