Peshawar: Peshawar High Court (PHC) while taking action on 6 petitions pertaining to missing persons cases has called reply from the respective respondents on next hearing.The court has called report from CCPO in connection with progress in case.The court has remarked providing protection to the participants of jirga is responsibility of chief minister.Different petitions regarding missing persons came up for hearing in the court Friday.Chief Justice (CJ) PHC S.M Attique Shah took up the petitions for hearing.The court expressed annoyance over it that people went missing while returning from Jirga.The CJ PHC remarked how can it be possible that participants of the jirga are lifted on their return from jirga.The court further remarked when the guests cannot be protected then why they are invited. Providing protection to participants of Amman Jirga is responsibility of chief minister.The court while taking action on the petitions summoned reply from the respective respondents on next hearing.The court also called progress report from CCPO Peshawar in the case.
