Islamabad: PML-N and PPP have expressed reservations over political statements during a high level meeting in parliament house and the two parties however have agreed to resolve all problems through reconciliation and talks.
According to sources the meeting was held in the chamber of speaker National Assembly (NA) Sardar Ayyaz Sadiq in parliament house.
PML-N was represented by Deputy Prime Minister (DPM) Ishaq Dar, Rana Sana Ullah, Azam Nazir Tarar, Tariq Fazal Chaudhry and Rana Mubashar while Navid Qamar and Ejaz Jakhrani attended the meeting from PPP side.
PPP leaders expressed grave concern over the statements by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz.
Navid Qamar said the words like our water, our money and our canals are highly inappropriate.
He made it clear PPP supported government sincerely and with good intent but statements of such nature are not acceptable.
On the occasion PML-N leaders held out assurance to allay PPP reservations.
Ishaq Dar said we want to take along PPP with us and all the problems will be sorted out through talks.
According to sources PML-N delegation also assured that meeting will be held with Punjab Chief minister to discuss this matter.
As per PML-N stance PPP is important ally and we cannot displease it.
Speaker NA Ayyaz Sadiq said solution to every problem can be found out through talks in democracy. My chamber is open to every party every time.
The leaders of both parties said the relations should not be worsened on the basis of political statements. All the challenges can be faced with mutual cooperation.
