ISLAMABAD: PTI leader and former minister for climate change Zartaj Gul has said politics has marred her beauty.

“ my husband has never given me any gift. I don’t know who are those women whom he gives gifts”, she said this in her interview to a private TV channel here Wednesday.

“ I receive my own salary and even then I get money from my husband in accordance with my expenses . To my view it is one among the responsibilities of husband to provide money to meet the expenses, she added.

She complained with her husband while smiling that he has never given her gift. My husband has never admired me openly. When I wedded newly I waited for appreciation from my husband. But Akhund Sahb has never admired me.

It was an era when she was too beautiful but now the politics has marred her beauty, she remarked. Like wise her husband was also too handsome like her father in the past.

Talking of politics she said people from her area Dera Ghazi Khan became president and prime minister of the country but the plight of this area has not changed.

In the past the politicians who were elected from Dera Ghazi Khan spent their most of time in Lahore and Islamabad rather than their own constituencies, she indicated. But I spend most of my time in my constituency instead of Islamabad. I have no home in any other area of the country except Dera Ghazi Khan , she added.
