Lahore: PTI former senator Ejaz Chaudhry has resorted to Lahore High Court (LHC) for suspension of sentence announced in May 9 cases.

Advocate Mian Ali Ishfaq counsel for Ejaz Chaudhry filed petitions for suspension of sentence.

The petition said Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) announced sentence in the cases related to May 9 incident registered in police stations Sarwar Road and Shadman against former senator. Ejaz Chaudhry is arrested from the beginning of the case and he is still imprisoned in jail.

Advocate Mian Ali Ishfaq took the plea appeal pleas against conviction of Ejaz Chaudhry are already pending hearing in high court. Trial court awarded punishment to him against the facts. He was subjected to political victimization.

The petition said that sentence of Ejaz Chaudhry be suspended till the decision of appeal plea and his bail plea be accepted besides ordering for his release.
