Peshawar: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) parliamentarians from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have called for postponement of the proposed long march, adding to uncertainty surrounding the party's planned protest.According to sources, a meeting of KP parliamentarians was held in Peshawar, attended by Junaid Akbar and other party leaders. The meeting discussed the proposed long march in detail. The participants demanded that an All-Parties Conference (APC) be convened, with some members suggesting that it should be held during the first week of October.Sources said KP parliamentarians also expressed willingness to hold talks with the government. Members said that if the government was willing to negotiate regarding the health of PTI founder Imran Khan, talks should be held. The majority of participants were of the view that a long march was not possible under the prevailing circumstances. They said returning empty-handed from the march could cause political damage to the party. The participants also noted that the government had blocked routes and that reaching Islamabad would be difficult. The performance of the party organisations in Punjab and Balochistan also came under discussion, with participants raising questions over their performance, sources added.
