PTI Senator to appear before SC in Swati alleged torture’s matter

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Senator and the Opposition leader at the upper house of parliament Dr. Shehzad Wasim was summoned by the Supreme Court of Pakistan to present his perspective before apex court.

According to details, Wasim had written a letter in name of the Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP), in which 17 PTI Senators had told the country’s top judge about alleged custodial torture on Senator Azam Swati during his detention recently.

PTI has constantly been alleging state institutions of torturing its senior most Senator Azam Swati during his recent detention.

On Sunday, the Supreme Court of Pakistan’s Human Rights Cell’s Director General summoned Dr. Shehzad Wasim to appear before the court and present his detailed perspective.
