Punjab govt decides to confer top civil award on Furqan Ahmad who passes away during flood relief operation

Lahore: Decision has been taken to confer top civil award to Assistant Commissioner Pattoki Furqan Ahmad who had passed away during flood relief operation in Punjab.

Grant amounting to Rs 1 crore will be given to family of Furqan Ahmad Khan.

Chief Minister (CM) Punjab Maryam Nawaz has accorded approval to give highest civil award and Rs one core.

Late Furqan Ahmad was performing flood relief duty since four days persistently despite being cancer patient. He remained engaged in rescue and relief operation in flood hit areas of Pattoki. He worked continuously in providing food, medicine and other facilities to flood affectees in Pattoki.

CM Punjab Maryam Nawaz has paid rich tributes to late Furqan Ahmad.
