Registrations Open for Alkhidmat Academic Scholarship Program; 7,820 Students Benefited to Date: Syed Waqas Jafri

Lahore: Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan has officially opened annual registrations for its national Academic Scholarship Program, designed to support deserving and talented students across the country. The online application portal opens annually on August 1 till October 31st, enabling applicants to complete a three-step online process from home: eligibility verification, account creation, and application submission.Providing details on the initiative, Secretary General Syed Waqas Jafri stated that Alkhidmat Foundation has disbursed PKR 683,961,000 under the program to date, directly benefiting 7,820 scholars comprising 3,985 male and 3,835 female students."The core objective of the Alkhidmat Academic Scholarship Program is to ensure that financial hardship does not prevent talented students from pursuing higher education. Education serves as the cornerstone of a resilient and prosperous society, and Alkhidmat remains committed to empowering underprivileged youth to reach their full potential," Syed Waqas J afri noted.He further emphasized that alongside financial assistance, Alkhidmat Foundation prioritizes holistic development by conducting regular capacity-building sessions, character-building workshops, and career counseling to prepare scholars for professional success.A breakdown of the beneficiary distribution reveals that financial aid has been awarded to 1,997 medical students, 623 engineering students, 4,388 BS (Honors) students, and 816 IT students across accredited institutions nationwide.Eligibility for school and college-level applicants requires a minimum academic merit of 75% marks in Matriculation or Intermediate examinations. University-level students currently enrolled in undergraduate programs can apply prior to completing their second academic year. Once selected, scholars receive sustained financial coverage through the completion of their degree program to ensure uninterrupted academic progress.
