Relief for the Public: Lahore District Administration Actively Controls Prices of Essential Commodities!

Lahore: The Lahore District Administration is making every effort to provide maximum relief to the public. A report on the decrease, stability, and increase in the prices of essential commodities was released on Thursday. According to the report, the prices of 7 items decreased, 14 remained stable, and 3 items increased. Fine Daal Chana is now available at PKR 270 after a decrease of PKR 5, special thick Daal Chana Special at PKR 290 after a decrease of PKR 10, imported washed black Maash Daal Imported washed at PKR 430 after a decrease of PKR 20, and gram flour (Besan) at PKR 290 after a decrease of PKR 10. Onions are was sold at PKR 85 after a decrease of PKR 5, tomatoes at PKR 60 after a decrease of PKR 5, and spinach at PKR 30 after a decrease of PKR 5.

The prices of potatoes, bitter gourd, cauliflower, cucumber, peas, green chili, Chinese carrot, bottle gourd, capsicum, Chinese lemon, local garlic, and ginger and Chinese/Thai ginger remained stable. On the other hand, the prices of eggplant, cabbage, and fenugreek increased by PKR 5 to 10. DC Lahore, Syed Musa Raza, stated that relief is was provided to the public in the prices of essential commodities. He further added that the District Administration is at the forefront of public service, and strict action is was taken wherever complaints of overpricing are received. The DC mentioned that administrative officers are fully active in the field.
