Islamabad: Supreme Court (SC) has dismissed petition of brother against share of sister in inheritance.

A two members bench presided over by Justice Hassan Rizvi remarked share of sister has been written in the Holy Quran. How can the order of the Holy Quran be denied.

Justice Naeem Afghan has remarked brothers have to get them served by the sisters and they have not to give share from property to their sisters. Sisters cook and serve meal and clean the home.

He gave these remarks on Monday.

During the hearing of the case Justice Hassan Rizvi remarked no signature of sister are thereon the record regarding division of property .

Counsel for the brother of the woman Maryam said share has been given to sister Maryam. She says less share has been given to her.

The court remarked how can it happen so that we should deviate from what Allah has ordained in the Holy Quran. You will have to give share.

The court dismissed appeal of brother against the share of sister.
