LOWER DIR: Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Sirajul Haq has said that rulers have taken the looting and plundering to its peak, adding that those who have targeted the nation through political and economic terrorism should be worried about the consequences.

Sirajul Haq said this while addressing the gathering of the workers in tehsil Maskini of Lower Dir on Wednesday.

He said, only in a few months, the coalition government of Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) has taken the masses aback. People have been badly affected by inflation, unemployment and load-shedding which is even causing them depression and anxiety, he said, the ruling parties have left 220 million people stranded. Those ruling the country ought to remember that one day they will be presented before in the court of Almighty Allah where they will have no their associate, he added.

The Emir Jamaat-e-Islami said that interest-based economy and corruption are the root causes of all the problems, colonial powers along with their loyalists have made the single Islamic atomic power a hub of their conspiracies.

He said the rulers under a particular agenda pushed the country towards the slavery of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), adding instead of putting an end to perks and privileges of civil and military bureaucracy, ministers, members of Parliament, judges and other persons working on higher positions, all the burden of indirect taxes was put on the masses.

Facilities of residences spreading over several acres, free of cost electricity and petrol from the government senior officials should be taken back, he said.

Sirajul Haq said a country where over 80 million people are compelled to pass their lives below the poverty line there, ironically, the rulers waste billions of rupees under the head of lewdnesses and luxuries. It needs an able and honest leadership to put the country on the right direction, he added.

All the major three major political parties have been badly exposed before the nation and now the nation should choose Jamaat-e-Islami to transform this country into an Islamic welfare Pakistan, Sirajul Haq concluded.
