Violation of section 144: Court extends interim bail of Imran Khan till Sep 27

ISLAMABAD: Local court of Islamabad has extended till September 27 interim bail of PTI chairman Imran Khan in the case pertaining to violation of section 144.

The court also accepted the exemption plea of chairman PTI Imran Khan, Asad Umar, Asad Qaisar and Faisal Vawda from attendance.

The case came up for hearing before local court led by Additional District and Sessions Judge Zafar Iqbal here Wednesday.

At the inception of hearing of the case Babar Awan counsel for PTI requested the court that Imran Khan will not appear in the court today. His plea for exemption from attendance in the court be accepted.

Babar Awan told the court Imran Khan is contesting election from 9 constituencies.

The learned judge inquired from Babar Awan elections are going to be held when.

He replied election are going to take place on September 25.

He told the court it is 21st case against Imran Khan in which we are seeking bail.

Sardar Masroof Khan counsel for Faisal Vawda while filing application for exemption from attendance said Faisal Vawda has gone to Saudi Arabia for performance of Umra. Therefore, his plea for exemption from attendance be accepted.

The exemption plea from attendance in respect of PTI leader Asad Qaisar was also filed.

The judge inquired where are Shahr Yar Afridi, Raja Khurram Ali Nawaz and Faisal Javed.

Sardar Masroof Khan counsel for PTI replied there is case pertaining to Faisal Javed in another court. He is on the way and is coming to the court.

PTI counsel Babar Awan said the case is one and the arguments will be the same .

The judge inquired from Police who is investigation officer in this case and is investigation complete.

The investigation officer replied record is available and investigation is complete too.

The judge while moving to investigation officer remarked “ Investigation officer Sahb are you listening all this.

The judge directed the investigation office see it if some one was not part of it he should be discharged from the case.

The counsel for Fayyaz Ul Hassan Chohan said his client be acquitted from the case.

The judge remarked how can we acquit the accused from the case at the stage of bail.

The court while extending the interim bail of Imran Khan till September 27 accepted the exemption pleas of accused Imran Khan, Asad Umar, Asad Qaisar and Faisal Vawda.
