Rawalpindi: Admiral Dr. Muhammad Ali, Chief of the Indonesian Navy, called on Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), HJ, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces (COAS and CDF) at GHQ, Rawalpindi.According to the statement issued by the ISPR, during the meeting, matters of mutual interest, regional security and bilateral defence cooperation were discussed. The two sides expressed satisfaction over the existing military-to-military relations and reaffirmed their resolve to further strengthen cooperation, particularly in the domains of professional training, defence collaboration and joint exercises.COAS and CDF reaffirmed Pakistan's commitment to further strengthening its longstanding and brotherly relations with Indonesia, significantly in the defence and security domains. Admiral Dr Muhammad Ali appreciated the professionalism of Pakistan Armed Forces and acknowledged their contributions towards regional peace and stability.Meanwhile Ahmad Al Hajjar, Lebanese Minister of Interior and Municip alities, called on Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), HJ, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces (COAS and CDF) at GHQ, Rawalpindi, during his two-day visit to Pakistan.During the meeting, both dignitaries exchanged views on matters of mutual interest, the evolving regional security environment and prospects for further enhancing bilateral relations in security domain. The importance of strengthening institutional linkages and fostering greater cooperation between the two countries' security institutions was also emphasised.COAS and CDF reaffirmed Pakistan's commitment to strengthening bilateral relations with Lebanon and expressed the desire to further expand mutually beneficial cooperation in areas of shared interest.The visiting dignitary appreciated Pakistan's contributions towards regional peace and stability and acknowledged the professionalism and sacrifices of the Pakistan Armed Forces in the fight against terrorism.
