Karachi: A citizen has filed petition in Sessions Court Karachi seeking registration of case in the incident of recovery of body of actress Humaira Asghar Ali from home.

As per media reports a complaint has also been filed through Prime Minister (PM) portal terming the incident murder.

The petitioner has taken plea in the petition filed in sessions court that death of actress is not natural but is outcome of murder.

The court has directed the respondents to file report till July 16.

The petitioner has said police have termed the incident a matter of grave concern.

According to petitioner suspicion arises out of video footage that Humaira Asghar has been murdered. Matter of tense relations of family members with the actress makes the matter suspicious.

The petitioner has requested the court to include the family members of the actress in investigation besides making SSP South and SHO Gizri respondent.

A citizen of Karachi Dr Syeda Kainat has also filed a complaint through PM portal whereby the death of Humaira Asghar has been declared an organized conspiracy and murder.

It has been alleged in the complaint that Hamaira was facing pressure in connection with relations with influential persons. She was forced to drink alcohol and ice.

According to complaint more than 8 months have passed since the death of Humaira . The information about her contacts with close persons has also been given.

Police have said no identification or solid evidence is there in the complain. I G Sindh has issued directives to make the application part of investigation and initiate investigation.
