Islamabad: The first meeting was held under the chairmanship of Speaker Ayaz Sadiq at Parliament House, in which a charter of demands based on the demands has been sought from the PTI.The next meeting of the committee will be held on January 2.Describing the initial talks as positive and constructive, the parties have clarified that efforts will be made to ensure that the progress made outside does not affect these talks, while the PTI says that we have raised the issue regarding the jailed workers.Ishaq Dar, Rana Sanaullah, Irfan Siddiqui, Raja Pervez Ashraf, Naveed Qamar, Aleem Khan, Farooq Sattar participated in the talks from the government side, while Asad Qaiser, Sahibzada Hamid Raza and Allama Raja Nasir Abbas participated from the PTI.The statement issued after the meeting said that both the negotiation committees expressed their goodwill and termed today's meeting as a very positive development.They said that the parliament is an important forum for resolving issues and the negotiation proc ess should continue.The opposition committee tabled its initial demands. It was decided that in the next meeting, the opposition would present all the demands and conditions in a written form so that it could move forward in the light of this document.Both the negotiating teams thanked Speaker Ayaz Sadiq and appreciated his efforts for the establishment of the government committee and the practical start of the negotiations.It was mutually agreed that the next meeting of the negotiation committee would be held on January 2.On this occasion, Speaker Ayaz Sadiq thanked the parties and said that problems can be solved only through mutual talks.Asad Qaiser said that we have expressed our position in the meeting. We have presented it in a comprehensive manner, demanding the release of all prisoners including Imran Khan, and the formation of a special commission.We will present the charter of demands on January 2, while we have demanded contact with Imran Khan, which the government has accepted.Sahibz ada Hamid Raza said that we are not making any demand that is beyond the constitution, we are not asking for relief, we want fact-finding, the government has all the powers to fulfill our demands.Advisor to the Prime Minister Rana Sanaullah said that if the PTI people kept calling us thieves in the past, we also kept saying a lot, but now we have to move forward, so the negotiations have started, there is no need for any guarantor.We can move forward by trusting each other, but they are confident that the negotiations will be 100 percent successful.On this occasion, committee members Farooq Sattar, Raja Pervez Ashraf and Naveed Qamar also expressed the hope that these discussions at the forum of the parliament will be successful and solutions to the problems will also be found.
