ISLAMABAD:Supreme Court (SC) while expressing displeasure over appearance of Customs authorities without preparation in the case pertaining to non custom paid vehicle has summoned DG Customs Intelligence.

The next hearing will take place on January 04.

A two members bench of SC presided over by Justice Qazi Faez Isa took up the case for hearing Tuesday.

Justice Qazi Faez Isa remarked during the hearing of the case why do the officers come in the court without preparations.

He further remarked no one knows if the vehicle is held by Customs or has it been released. How do these non customs vehicles come in the country. Does some one bring these vehicles in pocket. Who is the senior most officer of customs in Islamabad.

Counsel for customs told the court DG Customs is senior post of customs in Islamabad. Whatever court issues order in this regard we will comply with.

Justice Qazi Faez Isa while expressing annoyance remarked. You will not do any favor by implementing SC order. It is binding on all constitutionally to implement SC order. I will be thankful if you or your officers implement SC order.

The court while summoning DG Custom Intelligence adjourned the hearing of the case for one day.
