Islamabad: Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar addressed the closing ceremony of the four-day training programme 'Advanced Treaty Practice: From Signature to Domestic Law,' on Thursday organised by the Ministry of Law and Justice in collaboration with the International Mediation and Arbitration Centre (IMAC), held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
He welcomed and congratulated the participants from Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, China, Pakistan, and Trkiye, and commended their active engagement throughout the course. He appreciated the efforts of the Ministry of Law and Justice, IMAC, and Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar for successfully convening a high-quality capacity-building initiative for friendly countries, focused on strengthening treaty practice.
Ishaq Dar underscored Pakistan's commitment to international law, the UN Charter, and the strengthening of multilateral cooperation. He highlighted Pakistan's constructive role as a responsible member of the United Nations Security Council over the past two years, and reaffirmed the importance of treaty compliance, legal certainty, and peaceful dispute resolution in maintaining a stable international order.
He reaffirmed Pakistan's strong and enduring partnerships with the friendly countries of Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, China, and Trkiye. The event concluded with the distribution of certificates to participants, marking the successful completion of the programme.
