LHC approves petition of former DG GIA, wife handed over to husband

Lahore: Lahore High Court (LHC) has announced the decision of strange case filed by husband against his son with reference to handing over custody of his wife.

Chief Justice (CJ) LHC Aalia Neelum ordered to take over custody of woman from her son and hand over her custody to her husband.

Former DG FIA Muhammad Amin took the plea that his son who is SSP Special branch is keeping his wife forcibly with him.

Under the order of court, elderly woman was presented on wheel chair in the court by bailiff Tanvir Hussain.

During the hearing of the case the CJ LHC remarked if the husband and wife want to live together then son has no powers to keep mother with him forcibly. The constitution gives basic right to every citizen to live life as per one's will

SSP son told the court his mother is seriously ill and he is fully looking after her.

The court also expressed resentment over misbehavior with the bailiff and inquired treatment is being provided in what hospital.

The counsel told the court doctor conducts check up at home while two servants remain present all the time.

The maid servant could not tell the name of doctor.

On completion of the arguments the court took over the custody of the woman from her son and sent her with her husband
