Police violence against lawyers in long march case: Court orders to initiate legal proceedings against PM

LAHORE: The court has issued orders to initiate legal  proceedings against Prime Minister (PM) Shahbaz Sharif,  Chief Minister (CM) Punjab Hamza Shahbaz  and interior minister Rana Sana Ullah in police violence against the lawyers during PTI long march case.

 

The lawyers petition against Shahbaz Sharif, Hamza Shahbaz and interior minister Rana Sana Ullah came up for hearing  in Sessions Court Lahore Saturday.

 

Additional Sessions Judge Shahbaz Ahmad while ordering to initiate legal action as per law against the respondents remarked the respective SHO  should record the statement of the petitioner.

 

Advocate Afzal Azeem from PTI lawyers Wing had filed petition  seeking registration of case against Shahbaz Sharif, Hamza Shahbaz,  interior minister Rana Sana Ullah and others .

 

The court maintained in the decision that as per police report the incident did not take place in the jurisdiction of respective police station  while as per record the incident had taken place in the limits of Bhatti gate police station. Therefore, the petitioner should appear before SP Civil lines and record his statement under section 154.
